Hulk Hogan made his return to TNA Wrestling this week, but according to PWS on Aug. 29, he returns with a lot of heat on himself. It all started with Hogan agreeing to appear in the new WWE 2K14 video game and concluded with an interview Hogan and Eric Bischoff took place in recently.
Eric Bischoff claimed that Hogan never signed anything to appear in WWE 2K14, but the game company itself said that they had to get his permission since he was not under WWE contract, meaning Bischoff lied if they are telling the truth.
Then, at the interview segment, both Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan made some people in TNA Wrestling mad.
Hogan said that if TNA Wrestling wanted to succeed, they needed to give Eric Bischoff control over the company and the money to succeed with. Bischoff agreed that the money was important if they wanted to compete with the WWE.
The problem is that Eric Bischoff is in control of the direction of TNA Wrestling, and he has been for awhile. If Bischoff has been in charge all this time, and TNA Wrestling has not done any better, it sounds like Hogan is throwing the company under the bus while acting like it isn’t his business partner’s fault.
Another problem is that the short lived re-start Monday Night Wars, which failed, and the current move to eliminate pay-per-view events and take “Impact Wrestling” on the road were Eric Bischoff ideas. Those ideas have cost TNA Wrestling money, and now wrestlers have been released to make up for it, making TNA look like the villains.
