The news that Mr. Anderson signed a new contract with TNA Wrestling earlier in the month was false, but the news he was gone was also not entirely true. According to prowrestling.com on Sept. 30, Mr. Anderson said he will re-sign with the company within the week.
In his last appearance with TNA Wrestling, he wrestled against his former Aces & Eights partner Bully Ray for the world title, but lost when his fellow Aces & Eights team members turned on him.
After Bully Ray won the match, he stripped Mr. Anderson of his membership and then attacked him as he was stretchered out. The show ended with Bully Ray piledriving Anderson on the stage.
That was the way that TNA Wrestling would write Mr. Anderson out of the story lines if he never re-signed with the company. However, Anderson said that his contract will be signed within a week as his lawyer and agent are just working on finishing up his new deal with the company.
This is the first big name to return to TNA Wrestling after the recent mass releases and budget cuts. There is also a good chance Hulk Hogan leaves the company next month as well, which could free up a lot of money for actual wrestlers.
With Mr. Anderson returning, expect a new feud to break out between him and his former Aces & Eights partner Bully Ray. As of now, there are only three active wrestlers remaining in the group.
