Bully Ray did a recent interview and talked about a lot of things, including the state of TNA Wrestling, whether he watches the WWE and what he thinks about technical wrestling. In the interview, conducted on Aug. 28, Bully Ray admitted to watching WWE whenever he gets the chance.
While he has no intentions of returning to the WWE, he said that he will always watch it to see what the current popular trends are, what new moves wrestlers might be trying and what people are reacting to. He also said that he is a huge fan of CM Punk, who he said reminds him of himself when it comes to cutting promos.
He also said something that might rub some Internet wrestling fans the wrong way. Bully Ray said he doesn’t like technical wrestling, calling it boring. He said no one wants to see technical wrestling, they want to see action and that is what puts fans in the seats for wrestling events.
He also said that TNA Wrestling has come a long ways, but that they are not in competition with the WWE. He said that would be like a city bank trying compete with Chase Manhattan bank. He said they are two different companies and different forms of entertainment.
Finally, Bully Ray said that when TNA Wrestling superstar Sting decides he has done everything there is to do, there is no reason he shouldn’t finish his career in the WWE.
