The negotiations between AJ Styles and TNA Impact Wrestling continues, but Styles is not slowing down when it comes to booking dates to keep his career in a forward motion. According to PWInsider on Dec. 22, Styles has booked 11 independent matches taking him through April.
The word is that Styles and TNA Impact Wrestling have come to an agreement on a new contract and that he will be back with the company very soon. The contract will probably not be as high as his last one paid him, but it will be more than the cut they were originally asking him to take.
Another thought is that TNA Impact Wrestling will bring AJ Styles back for a pay cut, but they will allow him to also take independent dates to continue to make money.
So far, AJ Styles has signed to appear at Anarchy Wrestling in his home state of Georgia later this month. He then will travel the world, hitting everywhere from Canada to the UK and from New York to Ohio, for a series of matches.
There are also some dream matches included in these dates. In Toronto in January, AJ Styles will face former WWE developmental wrestler and current ROH star Chris Hero. In New York in February, Styles will ream with The Amazing Red to battle The Young Bucks. He also has a match in March in New York against new WWE developmental superstar Eddie Edwards.
While negotiating with TNA Impact Wrestling, AJ Styles has set up these matches which he is labeling the "AJ Styles Phenomenal One Tour."
