AJ Styles sent out a message to his fans, talking about not re-signing with TNA Impact Wrestling, and how he was trusting in the Lord’s word to send him to the right place. However, Wrestle Zone reported on Dec. 17 that Styles might have been untruthful when he sent out that message because he might have already signed with TNA Impact Wrestling.
The announcement came on the day after his contract with TNA Impact Wrestling expired. AJ Styles had already finished his final appearances with the company by losing his TNA world championship unification match to Magnus when Dixie Carter had a large number of wrestlers interfere on her behalf.
Since that time, Styles has accepted a large number of independent dates with companies like Anarchy Wrestling, Smash Wrestling, Deep Southern Wrestling and PCW. These dates go from Dec. 18 until March 15. However, a source inside TNA said that Styles statement about leaving TNA Impact Wrestling behind was a “blasphemous” work, referencing Styles saying God was leading him to leave TNA.
The word is that AJ Styles either has already come to a new agreement with TNA Impact Wrestling or that he is in heavy negotiations on a new contract with the company. The company has asked him to take a substantial pay cut, but with the WWE not interested, the only other big money options come from Ring of Honor and Japan, neither of which will pay much more than what TNA Impact Wrestling was offering.
