TNA tag-team PPV spoilers; Bully Ray and Devon conquer tag-team tournament

On Monday March 18, TNA taped a one night only tag-team tournament that featured some of their current teams and former stars. This taped event will air on PPV at a later date. According to a March 18 report by TNAInsider.com, Bully Ray and Devon dominated the tag-team tournament, as the reunited Team 3D defeated 8 other teams to win this special event.

The PPV opened with a match between the returning Generation Me who defeated Sonjay Dutt & Petey Williams. Both Williams and Dutt were also used on the "TNA Ten" PPV that took place on Sunday, March 17.

The other opening round matches were:

Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff defeated Cassidy Riley and Chase Stevens.

Bobby Roode and Austin Aries defeated Rob Terry and Doug Williams.

Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero defeated Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. It was a bit surprising seeing the team of Kaz and Daniels lose considering they are the #1 contenders for the tag titles based on the March 21 Impact Wrestling spoilers.

Second Round:

The second round opened with Samoa Joe and Magnus (former tag-team champions) defeating Aces & 8's members Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff.

The other second round match was Team 3D defeating Generation Me. Team 3D had a first round bye.

Semi-Final Round:

The current tag-team champions Bobby Roode and Austin Aries defeated Samoa Joe and Magnus in a solid bout.

Team 3D defeated Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero and cruised to the final round to take on the tag-team champs.

Tournament Final:

Team 3D defeated Bobby Roode and Austin Aries to win the tournament. However, they did not win the tag-team titles as the belts were not on the line.

Team 3D also won a triple threat tag-team match at the "TNA Ten" PPV, which was taped on Sunday.
