A brand new wrestling promotion is bursting onto the scene in Houston, and their debut show is this Saturday night at the Buey-Y-Vaca Flea Market. Headlining the "Armed & Dangerous" card will be TNA star Robbie E, as he faces off against a very tough challenge.
Robbie, well-known to TNA fans for his flamboyant fist-pumping style, will step into the ring against Carson. Fans in the Houston area know Carson all too well, as he is unquestionably one of the toughest competitors in state of Texas. A member of the highly-touted "ABC's of Wrestling," Carson has the chance to walk away with one of the biggest wins of his career this Saturday night. Robbie E. on the other hand, looks to make a huge impact with a victory over the former NWA North American Champion.
There will also be a one-night tournament to crown the first-ever XWA Champion. The first match will feature David "Super" Duperon as he faces Thunder Jet. Duperon has his hands full with a second-generation Lucha star, and will need to bring his A-game to Houston if he intends on advancing to the finals.
The winner of that match will meet the winner of the second match, as The Cancun Kid squares off against Ayden Cristiano. Expect this one to be fast-paced and electric as they look to make their way into the championship match.
Speaking of championship matches, the WAR Championship will be on the line as "The Mind of Wrestling" JT Lamotta faces "The Hebrew Phenom" David Stahr. This is a rematch five years in the making, as these two have a prior history. In 2007, they faced each other in Houston, and Stahr defeated him in a championship match. Stahr walked away with the win, but Lamotta has not forgotten that night.
A lot of people contend that David Stahr is not an outstanding wrestler...I agree. I think he's a LUCKY one. Proof you don't have be good or great, just being lucky can get you by. If he contends or wants to prove otherwise, he can do it by beating me this Saturday. Because you don't get lucky twice!
Speaking of TNA stars, Robbie E. will be joined by TNA Knockout and Houston native Miss Tessmacher. Fans will be able to meet them and get autographs the night of the show.
In addition, one of the more popular names in the Houston area makes his return as The Bulkster will be in the building on Saturday night.
The Buey-Y-Vaca Flea Market (Terraza Salon Mexico) is located at 8720 Airline Drive in Houston. Tickets for the event are listed at $10 for adults, and $5 for kids 11 and under. They will be available at the door, as well as in advance by calling Scott Bruce at (713) 306-8476. Doors will open at 6 PM, with bell time set for 6:30 PM.
