Following up on previous TNA Wrestling rumors, Eric Bischoff is finished with the company. According to PWS on Oct. 29, Bischoff is still under contract but has been asked to stay at home and sit his contract out.
Bischoff was not at the “Bound for Glory” pay-per-view or the “Impact Wrestling” taping last week, and that clued in a lot of people that he might be leaving the company. With his best friend and business partner Hulk Hogan not re-signed, it seemed his days were numbered anyway.
He remains under contract and will get paychecks to fulfill his contract, but is not expected to return to run TNA Wrestling and there is little chance that he re-signs with the company at least under the ownership of the Carter family, although that could change depending on who they sell the company to.
The TNA rumor talk is that Bischoff has never been well liked in the company and that both he and Hulk Hogan have made some comments lately that made TNA Wrestling look bad. His son, Garrett Bischoff, is still with the company, but there is no word on whether he follows his dad out the door.
Eric Bischoff is one of the names rumored to want to buy TNA Wrestling from the Carter family, but he would need to find financial backers in order to do that.
