Former TNA Impact Wrestling founder Jeff Jarrett released a video on Feb. 13 where he talked about a number of things, the most important of which is his official announcement that he is working on creating his own wrestling promotion.

It is important to understand that he didn't say anything about what the new promotion would be about other than the fact that he is currently setting out to travel the world and look for the best in independent talent.

That is also the same way that he started TNA Impact Wrestling. While there was familiar faces in Jarrett's TNA like the Harris Brothers, Scott Hall and Ken Shamrock, he built his promotion on the back of independent stars like Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, James Storm, Bobby Roode, Christopher Daniels and more.

If he can pull off the same kind of deal with this new promotion, it could be a very big deal.

In his video, he talked about working with AAA in Mexico for the last 10 years, a promotion that will start airing in the United States on cable this year. He also said that he thought that the wrestling business was on the brink of a boom period, with the WWE Network starting and AAA coming to America.

He never once mentioned TNA Impact Wrestling in his video, nor did he mention Toby Keith, who is his financial backer. There has been strong rumors that a few stars in TNA Impact Wrestling are paying close attention to Jarrett's new promotion because they are loyal to him.

Jeff Jarrett also said that the official announcement is coming very soon.
