TNA World Title Steel Cage Match
Magnus © vs. Samoa Joe
Credit to TNA for putting the push back behind one of their best veteran performers in Samoa Joe. Magnus is coming off the last few months of taped IMPACT episodes in the UK, looking like a real star. Joe earned his star status and main event legitimacy years ago with a TNA World title run of his own, and now returns to the main event scene with credibility and sense of redemption. It feels like a good even match-up with two former tag team partners. Prediction: The Samoan Submission Machine may have some momentum but Magnus is President Dixie Carter’s chosen champ, so look for shenanigans to interfere in the outcome allowing the English star to escape the cage with the title.
Lethal Lockdown Cage Match
Team Dixie (Roode, Aries & The Bromans) vs. Team MVP (MVP, The Wolves & Hardy)
This match is stacked with talent and features the TNA pay per view debuts of former WWE star MVP and former ROH Tag Team Champions the Wolves, Eddie Kingston and Davey Richards. The real spotlight may be put on Jeff Hardy who makes his TNA return after being unable to legally attend the recent UK tour. As one of the biggest stars in TNA, expect Hardy to do what he does best in ‘extreme situations’ like this: do something extreme. Prediction: When the dust settles, look for MVP and his team to walk out the victors.
Steel Cage Match : Mr. Anderson vs. Samuel Shaw In the eyes of many critics, Samuel Shaw’s creepy relationship with TNA ring announcer Christy Hemme has been a rip-off of the popular Showtime series ‘Dexter’ and has produced some cringe-worthy segments on IMPACT. Yet through all of it, Shaw still has a piercing look and a character that is easy to root against. Insert Mr. Anderson who is coming off a successful Casket Match a couple weeks ago against the biggest villain in TNA last year, Bully Ray. Prediction: Shaw’s creeper act continues with a win over Anderson.
Steel Cage Match TNA Knockouts Championship
Madison Rayne © vs. Gail Kim
Gail Kim has to be one of the most underrated female talents in all of wrestling who has been able to maintain a level of consistency both in the ring and as a character. Rayne’s run with Knockout gold since coming back from maternity leave, has not made her anymore of a threat. Prediciton: This Examiner sees a title change, with Kim leaving the cage as the new KO champ.
Steel Cage Last Man Standing Match
Gunner vs. "Cowboy" James Storm
Storm who used to be one of the most over heroes on the IMPACT roster, is now a heel against an All-American former Marine in Gunner. It feels like the Cowboy is being utilized to eleavate the younger star here. Prediction: Gunner gets the shine here with a win.
Steel Cage Match
Bad Influence & Sabin vs. The Great Muta, Sanada & Nakanoue
In his first American pay per view match in many year, Japanese legend Great Muta will tag with two of his young lions Sanada and Nakanoue from his Wrestle-1 promotion for the cross-promotional match. Hopefully TNA goes to great lengths to educate novice fans on Muta’s legacy and how important his presence on this card is. It could be a bad night to be Bad Influence and Chris Sabin as they will tangle with the Asian equivalent of the Undertaker in the mist-spitting Muta. Prediction: The Wrestle-1 team goes over on the TNA representatives setting up a return match down the road.
Steel Cage Match
Manik vs. Tigre Uno
At one time TNA made a big deal out of the masked man Manik now he just seems like a glorified curtain jerker on the roster. It seems like Manik is going to be tiger food for the Mexican transport Tigre Uno. Prediction: Tigre comes out the winner
