TNA Impact Wrestling spoilers: Results of pay-per-view tournament

TNA Impact Wrestling is taping a number of smaller pay-per-view events that they will air throughout the 2013 year. According to rajah.com on March 19, they recently taped on that will include a tournament consisting of the promotion's biggest stars.

Here are the results of that tournament.

The first match was a preliminary match where only one man gets into the tournament, and Cowboy James Storm beat Aces & Eights member Mr. Anderson to earn that spot.

In the first round of matches, Samoa Joe defeated former world champion Jeff Hardy in an upset for the long-time TNA star. In another match that might be considered an upset, Austin Aries beat Kurt Angle, who wrestled with his hamstring taped up. James Storm beat current world champion Bully Ray after Devon interfered to cause the disqualification. Finally, Bobby Roode beat Sting.

In the semi-finals, Samoa Joe beat Austin Aries in a battle of two men who are both former Ring of Honor and TNA World Champions. In the other match, former tag team partners James Storm and Bobby Roode fought, and Roode won the match by submission.

The finals of the TNA Heavyweight Tournament pitted Bobby Roode against Samoa Joe, and Roode won the match to come out of the tournament victorious.
