“TNA Impact Wrestling” was live this week and saw the first week of action since Hulk Hogan quit the company. Here is a look at the “TNA Impact Wrestling” recap and results from this week’s live television show on Oct. 10.
The show opened with Dixie Carter coming out to the ring. The crowd was amazingly loud, almost drowning her out, as she droned on and on about how important she is. She name dropped Eric Bischoff, Stephanie LeVesque and Jeff Jarrett before Sting finally came out. Carter used her oblivious personality to completely blow him off and she booked a match for this show between the Main Event Mafia and EGO and if either Sting or Magnus lose, they will not be allowed to wrestle at “Bound for Glory.”
The opening match was an amazing match between Austin Aries and Jeff Hardy. Aries won the match in about 15 minutes with a brainbuster from the turnbuckle. After the match, Samoa Joe came out and inserted himself into the Ultimate X match at “Bound for Glory.”
Up next, Jesse from the Bromans called out ODB. The match ended in a DQ win for ODB when Robbie E interfered. After the match, Lei’D Tapa attacked ODB and laid her out.
Bully Ray set up a match between AJ Styles against Knux and Garett Bischoff for later on the show.
Up next, Chris Daniels and Kaz came out in brilliant orange and blue suits to induct Bobby Roode into the EGO Hall of Fame. After awhile, Kurt Angle made his TNA return. He came down, took out Kaz and Daniels and then challenged Roode to a match at “Bound for Glory.”
Velvet Sky wrestled Brooke next for a chance to be in the Knockout’s title match at “Bound for Glory.” Brooke won when Chris Sabin was talking to Velvet and distracted her.
Up next is the big tag team match between Sting and Magnus against Kazarian and Chris Daniels. The end came when Sting tagged in Magnus to get the win. Magnus hit the flying elbow but then refused to pin Daniels and instead tried for the submission. Kaz made the save, Sting tagged himself back in and hit the Scorpion Deathdrop for the three count. Magnus was mad because Sting tagged himself in.
Dixie Carter tried to pay off AJ Styles to just leave TNA but he tore up the check and walked off. He came out and fought Knux and Bischoff in the main event. Styles pinned Bischoff to win the match, but then Bully Ray attacked Styles with a chain after the match. “TNA Impact Wrestling” ended with Bully Ray telling AJ Styles that he was going to take him out at “Bound for Glory.”
