TNA Impact Wrestling taped their final Thursday night show before heading to the U.K. on Jan. 18 and the world championship was on the line. Here is a look at what went down at the TNA TV tapings.
The card opened with the Knockouts title match between Tara and Velvet Sky. Last week on Impact, Velvet Sky beat Gail Kim to earn this title shot, but Tara picked up the win when Jesse from Big Brother held Sky's feet at the end of the match.
Joseph Park came out and said that, during the U.K. tour, he would make his television debut on Open Fight Night.
In a tag team match, Zema Ion and Kenny King beat Rob Van Dam and Christian York. Ion got the pin on York when he blind tagged himself back in after King took down York.
Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan came out next and asked for Bully to have his suspension lifted so he could start fighting Aces & Eights, one by one. Sting came out and said they would get a decision next week.
Bobby Roode beat Hernandez after the referee was distracted when Chavo Guerrero and Austin Aries fought at ringside. This looks like it will lead to a tag team title match down the line.
Kurt Angle returned from his short injury absence and called out Mr. Anderson. Angle challenged Anderson to a steel cage match next week.
In the main event of the show, Jeff Hardy beat Christopher Daniels in the world championship match. After the match ended, Aces & Eights ran in and attacked Hardy as Taz talked on the microphone about Hardy having a bulls-eye on his back. After the attack they connected with a hammer shot to Hardy's back.
TNA Impact Wrestling airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Spike TV.
