TNA Impact Wrestling taped their 2014 "Hardcore Justice" one-night-only pay-per-view event on Dec. 29 and the main event featured a lethal lockdown match. Here is a look at the TNA 'Hardcore Justice' spoilers and results for the show.
Because this one-night-only event will air early in 2014, the pay-per-view did not include any title matches since the company will want to keep it in line with the ongoing storylines and won't want to spoil upcoming title changes in TNA. However, despite not having title matches, there were still a number of big time specialty matches on the show.
The main event was a Lethal Lockdown match, which takes place in a steel cage between two teams. Like the classic War Games, it starts with two men in the ring and each team will send in another member in intervals until all four men are in the cage. The first match on the card was Bobby Roode vs. Samoa Joe, with the winner getting the luck of the draw. Roode won the match by tricking the ref into disqualifying Samoa Joe.
Ethan Carter III came out next and challenged anyone to a table's match and hardcore legend Tommy Dreamer answered the challenge. ECIII won the match.
Joseph Park and Eric Young took on Bad Influence in a Full Metal Mayhem match where anything goes and weapons are provided. Park and Young won when Young pinned Christopher Daniels.
Former Aces & Eights members Bully Ray and Mr. Anderson fought in a stretcher match, which Bully Ray won.
Lei'd Tapa beat Velvet Sky in a street fight next.
The cage came down and Austin Aries took on Christ Sabin in an Xscape match, where the winner was the first to climb over and out of the cage. Aries won the match.
In the main event at TNA "Hardcore Justice," Team Angle beat Team Roode in the Lethal Lockdown match. Team Angle consisted of team captain Kurt Angle along with James Storm, Samoa Joe and Abyss while Team Roode consisted of Roode, Magnus and the BroMans.
