TNA champ Robert Roode gets the Hulkamania endorsement

Current TNA champion Robert Roode continues to receive praise for his work since winning the belt late last year. Roode has even turned a previous critic of his, Hulk Hogan, into a fan who's now singing his praise. Last fall, Hogan criticized Roode and thought that Robert wasn't champion material. However, after a few months on top, Hogan now likes what he sees in Roode's character. According to a Friday January 27th report by The Daily Star, Hulk Hogan made the following comments about Roode:

"I sat back and thought, 'You guys have just done one of the best old school wrestling angles I've ever seen," said Hogan after thinking that Roode couldn't be a champion because he was the ultimate good guy at the time. "Turning Roode heel gives him that extra spice –he'll have everyone to work with, rather than throw him out there and set him up for failure."

Hogan initially received a lot of heat for his comments about Roode. However, it didn't bother Roode as he continued to work hard towards his goal of becoming world champion. Hogan is currently on tour in the UK with Robert Roode and the rest of TNA's top stars.

As for Roode, he continues to feud with his former partner James Storm and Jeff Hardy. Roode is expected to carry the title through the Against All Odds PPV on February 12th. However, it's unclear how long TNA plans on keeping the belt on Roode after the PPV.
