If there's one thing you can expect when Jeff Hardy wrestles inside a steel cage, it would be his affinity to take huge risks in an effort to make the wrestling fans happy. Last year, Hardy and Kurt Angle put on a tremendous match at TNA's annual LockDown PPV. This year, Hardy will take on longtime friend and rival Bully Ray inside the cage at the 2013 edition of LockDown. Hardy is looking to top his performance last year and make this match an instant classic. According to a March 7th interview with my colleague Kevin Kellam, Hardy made the following comments:
"It’s always a challenge to top what I have done in the past. This Sunday is a great example. There are all types of things going through my head, but it’s a Cage Match and it’s Lockdown. Last year was so good with me vs. Kurt Angle, and naturally I want to top that, so it’s gonna be fun."
Hardy would go on to say that fans can "expect the unexpected" with this match and that he really looks forward to competing with Bully Ray on Sunday, March 10th.
Bully Ray and Hardy have had a lot of success with each other in the past. Both men were on popular tag-teams in the WWE and had some memorable moments. Bully Ray was a member of the Dudley Boys and Jeff was teamed up with his brother Matt to form the Hardy Boys. These two teams competed with Christian and Edge in TLC matches that are still talked about today and heralded as career defining moments for all 6 men involved. Hardy acknowledged this history and also praised how the two men have forged their own solo paths after years of tag-team wrestling.
