TMZ.com: Halle Berry and boyfriend break up - Radar Online says it's due to age of Cleveland native
TMZ.com has broken the news that Halle Berry and her boyfriend of five years, Gabriel Aubry, have broken up.
They are also reporting that a custody arrangement of their daughter, Nahla, (seen here on Just Jared with Halle and Gabriel at the zoo on Good Friday, April 2nd) has been worked out.
Inevitably folks will begin to call the Cleveland-native "unlucky in love" once again.
Radar Online says that it was the 9-year age difference that started to get to Gabriel, if that's true.
But at least they are also reporting that Gabriel is a decent guy who is not going after Halle's money -- and that Aubry reportedly earns $700k a year as a model.
Halle Berry took to the Jay Leno show in past months to dispel rumors that she was pregnant with a second child from Gabriel.
"I guess I needed to get back in the gym," she said something to the effect about the rumors of her weight gain, or "baby bump" as some speculated.
Pretty open about her trials throughout the years, Halle Berry famously told the world that when she met David Justice, her first husband, she made sure he wasn't married.
"He's not married, right?" she asked about the outfielder, after someone related that he just had a girlfriend.
That marriage famously ended with allegations of untoward behavior, and Halle getting the "David" tattoo on her bum changed.
Justice wanted a wife to take cooking classes and settle down in the ATL, and Halle said she tried that, but it just didn't work.
On to singer Eric Benet, who famously ill-advised her to "play that card" and go naked in movies, which won her an Oscar -- but lost her a husband as Benet reportedly cheated on her even during Oscar night.
Berry would reveal on Oprah the string of "woman afer woman" that Benet cheated on her with.
Then Halle went on to say that she would never marry again. And Gabriel seemed to be the new love of her life, but that has now ended as well.
Hopefully she finds that one true love that satisfies her.
The Bedford-area Ohio native, who was named after a Cleveland department store, often talked about her trials in growing up in an area that wouldn't accept the fact that she won prom queen -- so they elected a Caucasian co-queen to serve with her that year, and accused the beauty of stuffing the ballot box.
Years later, her fans pray she finally meets the right One.
