On Friday, The Learning Channel (TLC) filed a lawsuit against Jon Gosselin for breach of contract. TLC seemed ok with the reality TV show they planned called ‘Kate plus 8,’ but Jon halted production of the show stating that he thought it was hurting his children. Many people believe this was only because he was eliminated from production of Jon and Kate plus 8. TLC claims that it has lost $30,000 as a result of Jon’s breach of contract.
According to the complaint: Jon Gosselin agreed to provide "his and his family's services in taping and promoting the program in and around the family home and to provide those services exclusively" to TLC, behave in an "appropriate" manner and not "promote or endorse any products or services," CNN reported.
Jon has also "entered a lucrative agreement with 'Entertainment Tonight' and its companion show, 'The Insider' to discuss his family and the problems he was having with Mrs. Gosselin," according to TLC's complaint.
Mark Heller, Jon Gosselin’s attorney said that they have yet to receive any court paperwork.
Just yesterday, a spokesperson for TLC told ABC News the reality TV show was ending, but if this lawsuit goes the way TLC wants it to go…perhaps the show will continue without Jon.
Jon and Kate Plus 8 aired a show earlier this year of a ski trip to Park City, Utah where the whole family enjoyed a week of a skiing vacation.
