TLC's ‘Best Funeral Ever’ has mourners eating breakfast with a coffin (video)

Anyone who thought reality TV was already too much needs to set the DVR’s for the season premiere of Best Funeral Ever. The upcoming episode on Monday night might have you shocked beyond the grave. No, seriously it’s looking a lot like a breakfast feast instead of a funeral.

The reality show takes viewers to the Dallas-based Golden Gate Funeral Home where a funeral service is in progress. The people in the audience are in robes and others behind the podium are dressed up like breakfast food. That’s right the eggs, bacon and even milk are speakers as they remember the young man. The funeral service of Quinton, who loved breakfast so much he ate it three times a day, could be considered disrespectful by some folks, but the family is in the moment having breakfast with his coffin in the corner. If that's not shocking enough, viewers get to see the coffin covered in fruit.

“These guys know how to plan the #BestFuneralEver,” tweeted the TLC network on Monday afternoon from the network’s official Twitter account. The statement of knowing how to plan a funeral correctly is doubtful, but the upcoming show is definitely disturbing.

The oddity of this show has everyone wondering if reality TV has finally hit rock bottom. Anyone getting any amusement out of watching such a bizarre tribute has to be at such a loss for common respect and dignity that they need therapy. And lots of it.

Get your shock on Best Funeral Ever Monday night on TLC. Make sure to watch the video clip so you know what to expect. It's not appropriate for younger eyes and people who like breakfast (as loss of appetite is probable.)
