VH1 hit the top of the charts with the premiere of its movie “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” earlier this week. According to Deadline the biopic about the Grammy Award winning trio drew 4.5 million viewers when it aired on Monday, Oct. 21, ranking it as the cable network’s highest-rated original movie ever.

Actresses Keke Palmer, Drew Sidora and Lil Mama starred as Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. The film chronicles the trails and tribulations of the 90’s super-group. The surviving members Thomas and Watkins served as executive producers for the biopic.
The release of the group’s greatest hits CD “20” coincided with the premiere of the movie. If you missed the film when it originally aired, VH1 will show an encore of “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” Sunday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. ET followed by Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. ET.
