Titus Young released: Detroit Lions part ways with Young after rough season

Titus Young released? Say it ain't so! Okay, sorry for the sarcasm fellow Lions fans, but this is long overdue. NFL.com is reporting that the Lions and Young are parting ways after one of the most bizarre relationships in recent NFL memory.

The relationship between Young and the Lions staff almost seemed like a bad marriage.

Young was sent home from the Lions offseason training camp last summer after he sucker-punched teammate Louis Delmas. Young later apologized and said he was wrong for his actions and was going to become a better teammate.

Fast forward to the regular season and the Lions had to dismiss Young from the team when he admitted that he purposely lined up in the wrong position against the Green Bay Packers in Week 11 and ran the wrong routes.

Sounds like a team player for sure don’t you think?

The final straw for the Lions had to be when Young took his anger to Twitter, tweeting things like “Oh I'm not done, if y'all going to cut me let me go. I'm tired of the threats” and “Never needed the money Give me a dollar and a ball bet I come back” #HallofFame

By adding Hall of Fame to the end of Young's latest tweet, he must have meant he plans on attending this falls 2013 induction ceremony, right?
