On Thursday, Microsoft announced 6,000 launch parties planned worldwide for the Xbox One release of "Titanfall" on March 11th, with a special event in Austin, Texas at South by Southwest a day before.

Hosting the "Titanfall" SXSW event is Xbox Corporate Vice President Yusuf Mehdi, with the assistance of Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella and community manager Abbie Heppe. Attendees will not only be able to play the game, but will be given a chance to speak with the developers, win prizes, and more. The "Titanfall" celebration will happen at Microsoft Studio on 323 Congress Ave. at 9pm. Attendance will be handled on a "first come, first serve" basis.

In addition to the SXSW event, Microsoft will host a Twitch stream showcasing "Titanfall" on the same day from 10pm-2am CT. The Twitch stream will include Mehdi, Zampella, Heppe, Rooster Teeth Productions, Xbox Live Gamerscore and achievement leader Stallion83, Major Nelson, GameTrailers TV and Spike TV host Geoff Keighley, Twitch’s Jon Carnage, and many more. Then on March 11, the day "Titanfall" is released, retailers nationwide will host launch parties with celebration expanding to Europe, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. More launch party announcements are said to be on their way.

Published by EA and developed by Respawn Entertainment, "Titanfall" had "gone gold" recently and will meet its intended release date. A $499 Xbox One bundle including the game, system, controller, Kinect, headset, and one month of Xbox Live is available for pre-order.
