Phil Harrison has provided some commentary in regards to the lineup of the Xbox One. In an interview with the Official Xbox Magazine on Dec. 28, the corporate vice president at Microsoft disclosed that the next-generation system already features a healthy dose of exciting launch exclusives in addition to “some pretty amazing” upcoming titles.
He stated that fans “should be excited” for “Forza Motorsport 5,” “Kinect Sports Rivals” and “Ryse: Son of Rome.” He went on to mention that players are going to “be very excited” with regards to the upcoming “TitanFall.” You can find some screens from the first-person shooter in the slideshow to the left of this article and his comments below:
The proof is in the pudding, and the pudding is the games. I think that, not just at launch, but into the foreseeable future Xbox One has some pretty amazing titles coming up for it. Whether you are the most die-hard Xbox fan or new to the platform and new to the brand you should be excited about it. You should be excited for Ryse, you should be excited about Forza Motorsport 5, you should be excited about Kinect Sports Rivals. You should be very excited about Titanfall.
Phil Harrison also believed that Xbox One exclusives are only going to get better. The differences between the first-year games and the titles that are coming out by the end of the next-generation system’s life cycle should be dramatically different as the development tools will be improved while developers will have a better understanding of the “unique architecture” over time. He also thinks that the “power of the cloud” would provide the teams with practically untapped power.
The aforementioned “TitanFall” will be made available on March 11, 2014, for the Xbox One. The same video game is also coming to the PC platform as well as the Xbox 360 current-generation console.
