Much debate and speculation regarding Respawn Entertainment's upcoming Xbox One title, Titanfall, and it's designation as a possible timed exclusive have been put to rest via and investor call and reinforced on Twitter.
Microsoft Xbox Live Director of Programming, Larry Hryb, has tweeted the following about the highly anticipated title,
Yes, @Titanfallgame game is exclusive. No, not a timed exclusive. It will only be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 & PC
This follows Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen mentioning on an investor call earlier this morning, that Titanfall will remain an exclusive. During the calls question and answer section, Jorgensen replied directly to the question of Titanfall being a timed exclusive,
In the case of Titanfall, it's a brand new IP, exclusive only, for the life of the title, to Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PCs
Titanfall is being developed by Respawn Entertainment, which was created by former Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vince Zampella, with West leaving the company for personal reasons back in March.
Zampella also tweeted in response, "Always MS exclusive at launch, great partner and focus is good for a startup. EA made a deal for the rest, we only found out recently."
Zampella did leave the door open for expansion for the franchise, as users asked if the franchise was exclusive, or just the first title. "First game." was Zampella's response.
