Titan's Forecast and Game Thoughts

The Titans-Broncos game will feature some great weather and some great play. We expect temperatures to reach a high of 74° late in the game on Sunday. At the 12 noon (CDT) kickoff time, look for a temperature of 70° under a partly sunny sky and isolated showers in the area. Calm winds give way to a northwestly light breeze between 5 and 10 mph. The weather doesn't appear, at this time, to be a factor in the game.

Roaring to another win this week?

Last week for the Titans-Ravens game was nearly perfect weather as we had mostly sunny skies all game long with a light southerly breeze. The Titans were nearly as perfect as the weather in shutting down the vaunted Raven attack and confusing a powerful Raven defense all day long. The Ravens were intent on stopping Chris Johnson and while they did that, quarterback Matt Hasslebeck gave Tennessee the advantage with crisp, accurate passes to the receivers.

The Titans will need another performance like last week to ensure a victory against the Broncos. This is the 39th meeting (Titans lead it 21-16-1) between these two clubs with the Broncos winning the last outing played on October 3, 2010 by a score of 26-20. The Broncos also own a current 3-game winning streak in this series. New Broncos coach John Fox is winless against the Titans.

This game has been designated as CODE BLUE. Check out the Titans' Facebook page for all sorts of prizes to be given away leading up to the game. Check out this 60 page document on the upcoming game produced by the Titans organization.

Fun things to look for this week:

  • WR Kenny Britt goes for his third consecutive 100-yard receiving game.
  • Britt also goes for his 5th consecutive game with a receiving touchdown
  • RB Chris Johnson needs just two rushing TD's to tie Steve McNair for third on the Titans all-time list.
  • T Michael Roos makes his 99th consecutive start
  • G Jack Scott makes his 107th consecutive start

Finally, if you're headed to LP Field, you may need a light jacket early during preparations at your tailgate site, but you should be able to shed it quickly.

7 AM temp - 57° 10 AM temp - 64° 1 PM temp 71°

After game celebration at 4 pm is expected around 73°...as of now, rain chances are minimal. Enjoy the game.
