Titan of Eternal Fire is one of the newest "Theros" spoilers revealed today Sept. 2, 2013 from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set during PAX Prime. Titan of Eternal Fire certainly isn't the most glamorous rare that we've seen recently, however this Giant can be very nasty if all the creatures you control are human.
Titan of Eternal Fire - 5R
Creature - Giant (Rare)
Each Human creature you control has "R, Tap: This creature deals 1 damage to target creature or player."
There is no gift more precious or more perilous than fire.
In the right deck Titan of Eternal Fire can help you gain a significant amount of card advantage, clearing the way for it to attack. It's important to note that the ability granted by Titan of Eternal Fire can target both creatures and players. With four red mana and four humans on the battlefield, you'll be able to destroy a creature that has a toughness of four.
One place that Titan of Eternal Fire will shine is in limited. Human is perhaps the game's most abundant creature type, and it's a pretty safe bet that you'll end up with several in your draft or sealed pool. Because Titan of Eternal Fire only requires one red in its casting cost it can easily be splashed into any deck (though you'll need several mountains in order for the ability it grants to be effective).
How will you use Titan of Eternal Fire?
