The parents of Miley Cyrus have officially called it quits. Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from his wife Leticia "Tish" Finley Cyrus on October 26, 2010 after 17 years of marriage.
Billy Ray Cyrus cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. He and Tish Finley Cyrus have three children together: Miley Ray (who recently changed her name legally from Destiny Hope), Noah Lindsey, and Braison Chance.
Billy Ray Cyrus has a child named Christopher Cody with waitress Kristin Luckey with whom he had a brief affair. Cyrus also adopted his wife's two oldest children (from her first marriage), Trace and Brandi.
In a statement released to People magazine, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Finley said:
"As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family... We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers."
Famous offspring Miley Cyrus performed a 90-minute concert at the TD Garden in November 2009.
