A downtrodden pair of bonded dogs are waiting to be rescued from an animal control facility in Andalusia, Ala.

The dogs, "Precious," a Yorkie, and "Jazzie," a shepherd mix, were brought to the facility after they wandered up to someone's home.

It is evident by the condition of the dogs' bodies that life has not been easy - their fur is unkempt and it appears that they have a skin condition.

What happened to these dogs before arriving to the facility is a mystery.

Were they abandoned or dumped? How did they wind up alone?

Have they ever known a life of love or comfort?

For the moment, they are warm and safe from the elements, but they are in need of someone who can provide them with the love, care and attention that they need to recover from their past hardships.
