Tirades a cry for help: Writer off the Ann Coulter hate-wagon

Ok, we’ve all seen what happened when everyone ignored a problem. Now what was the media to do about the Ann Coulter issue? Obviously, something wasn’t right with her behavior and left untreated, her ‘decent into madness’ as one writer put it, would’ve only gotten worse.

As a fellow Christian, not necessarily a narcissistic idiot, jumping on the hate Ann Coulter bandwagon wasn’t my style. If those in the media knew she might have had an emotional issue, what were they going to do about the problem? Who was to be the David to her Goliath so to speak? They didn’t have to kill the problem with a rock, just having had her examined by a doctor and given appropriate treatment.

Proverbs 14:31 said:

Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker,
But whoever is kind to the needy honors God..(NIV)

The late Whitney Houston and Robin Williams suffered from a drug addiction in addition to depression. Houston’s mother dragged her kicking and screaming into a drug rehab program. Her divorce from Bobby Brown was a blessing. and occurred a lot sooner then renowned psychic Sylvia Browne’s prediction of eight years. According to The 700 Club today, Williams openly admitted a month before his suicide yesterday that he was to return to a 12 step treatment program.

Usually, a public outburst like the one that occurred on the plane in Miami, was a cry for help from Coulter. Dr. Phil would have a field day with this and probably would have been in on the intervention process. That was of course only if the person acknowledged that there was a problem and wanted help.

Nevertheless, in spite of her tirades about Christian missionaries, they did God’s work twofold. Tending to the spiritual needs and treating physical ailments was a must as a missionary both stateside and abroad.

Matthew 28:18-20 said:

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me" baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit;" 20 and teaching" them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you;" always, to the very end of the age.” (NIV)

Jeremiah 30:17 said:

But I will restore you to health
and heal your wounds,’
declares the Lord,
‘because you are called an outcast,
Zion for whom no one cares.’ (NIV)

This Christian writer hoped and prayed that Ann Coulter got the help she needed, if required.
