Summertime and the living is easy, but it is not the time to forget a regular skincare routine.

As the weather warms, everyone wants to get outdoors. While outdoor activities are in full swing, it can bring acne breakouts, oily skin and blackheads.

But no need to worry -- there's a plan.

“With a few changes in a person’s skincare routine, it can be clear sailing all summer long for acne prone people,” said a spokesperson from Skin Care Heaven, an e-commerce store and skin research center based in San Diego. “When the weather gets toasty warm, sweat and oil finds its way into our pores causing breakouts.”

The warmer weather also causes sebaceous glands to create oil on the skin which is one of the main causes of breakouts usually on the chin, nose and forehead.

Surprisingly, teens are not the only ones who experience acne. Adults endure it, too. But the tips to avoid breakouts are about the same for everyone.

First off, skin professionals advise people to find a result-driven acne treatment system. After securing a good treatment, here are some other helpful tips recommended by Skin Care Heaven:

· Wear an oil-free sunscreen

· Scale back on the moisturizer

· After facial perspiring, use a non-soap cleanser as soon as possible

· Wear oil-free and non-comedogenic skin care products and mineral makeup

And if desired, a weekly oil-absorbing clay mask can be used. To jump start the oil absorption, a clay mask can be used more frequently but if dryness starts use it weekly.

“A few simple tips can keep away breakouts and keep skin looking fabulous during sun-splashed summer months,” the spokesperson said.
