As a follow-up to yesterday's article on the excuses people use to not exercise, this writer got a timely email from the Oprah website about six tips for people who hate to exercise. Her first tip was to just scale back on your goals. For example, if you set a goal of exercising 6 days out of 7, with one off, and then you find yourself just not meeting that goal, the solution is to revise the goal. Choose a goal that is doable and will not put you into depression because you just could not make it. Life happens, and a healthy lifestyle is a life-long way of living, not something you do and then forget about it.
Exercise should be fun so that you do it and continue to do it. One program found to be a lot of fun is the No Excuses Workout Boot Camp. This is an online program that you can do any hour of the day, right in your own home, or in a hotel room if you are traveling. The coach is Jonathan Roche, with an impressive fitness resume. He lives in Colorado, and has three others who assist him. There are live recordings of weekly workouts (Mon-Fri), and most people listen to the recording itself (i.e., they are not on it while it is being recorded). And there are several tools to help you stay on track.
The No Excuses Workout program is available in two formats. One is the free subscription, where more than 80,000 people are finding success in creating and living a healthy lifestyle without any detailed program to follow, just daily exercise and watching what you it. The other is the 8-week boot camp format, where they are finishing up Boot Camp 15 this week, and will start Book Camp 16 on Monday. You have access to many workouts, along with the coaches' motivation as they exercise. There is also a radio show, and a daily email to keep you motivated. It is one program that this weight watcher has truly embraced--it is fun, and allows the person total freedom on what and how much to do.
There are only so many boot camp spaces, and they fill up fast. So, click here to find out about this great program for those of you who are drowning in excuses. Jonathan helps you set a really doable goal of just one pound a week--that's right, one pound. If you follow his program, just think, you could lose 17 pounds by New Year's Day.
So, what is your excuse for not taking charge of your body and your health? The No Excuses Workout programs are simple to follow, unencumbered, and an easy way to lose weight and get fit. And you do it all from your computer.
