Tis the season and before you know it ; it will be time to send out Christmas cards for 2013. It is not easy to capture that perfect picture of your baby for this year's Christmas card. Luckily, there is still plenty of time to find the right holiday outfit and the right setting for your Christmas picture. If you wait any longer , you will not have the opportunity to create the best pictures and mail them in time to all of your family and friends.

At Namely Newborns we suggest that you buy baby's Christmas gift early and use this gift as the central theme for your Christmas card. What could be cuter than sharing baby's first Christmas gift on your holiday card. If you start now, you have plenty of time to try different outfits and poses so that you get the cutest picture.

For baby's first Christmas our number one choice is to pose baby on a Christmas belly blanket. Our two favorite belly blankets are a Santa belly blanket and a reindeer belly blanket. If you choose the Santa blanket, you can dress baby in green or white so that the outfit will contrast with the blanket. Add baby's name in black, green or white to the Santa blanket and not only will you have a great picture but a personalized Christmas gift for baby's first Christmas. If you choose the reindeer blanket , then you can use outfits in red, green, blue, pink or white and the personalization can be any color not only red and green for Christmas.

Our second favorite idea is to pose baby holding a cute security blanket especially one with a Christmas theme like Santa or a reindeer.

Our third suggestion is to dress baby in a Christmas bib over his holiday outfit.

Our fourth suggestion is to pose baby holding his favorite stuffed animal. Put a red ribbon and some jingle bells or holly on the stuffed animal for the holiday feeling.

Baby will enjoy his Christmas gifts all year round and you will have a fantastic picture to remember baby's first X-mas.
•Tips for shooting the photo:
•Do not shoot the picture outside
•Find a light background inside your house.
•The best light might be your laundry room or kitchen when you have a fluorescent light.
•Make sure baby has eaten and been changed.
•Try shooting different times of the day so you can catch baby with a smile.
