Cagle’s Family Farm in Canton is a fitting way to enjoy Fall with the whole family.

It’s popular corn "maize" is excellent for adventure-loving tots, tweens, teens and adults; younger children who don’t want to go around in circles will get a kick out of the Jumpee Pillows (there’s a smaller one for children 45 inches and under, and a huge one for everyone else); and the whole gang will dig the pumpkin patch as well as the hayride-to-bonfire, where you can do marshmallow roasting.

Just be sure you experience what you’d like at the right price. One family didn't think it would want to do everything included in the farm’s combo tickets, and, unfortunately, paid for individual activities when it could have gotten more for less.

For example, corn maze tickets, which include use of the Jumpee Pillows, are $10 per person; the hayride-to-bonfire is $7. For just $3 more --$20 -- you can get the maze, hayride, and farm tour -- a great deal.

True, for a family of four, that’s $80, but it’s the best bet if you want to try it all.

If you're pressed for time or are truly only interested in one type of adventure, then paying a la carte is the way to go.

Another money saver: since you’re allowed to go back and forth to your car (just keep your wristband on at all times) pack a cooler with some sandwiches and drinks to keep food costs down.

Don’t forget to bring along some of your kids’ favorite snacks so you can ‘just say no’ to the $1 bag of candy at the 'Corncession' Stand.

But let’s face it – even if you pack a hearty lunch, it’s hard to resist goodies such as funnel cake, so it’s probably a good idea to bring $20 in cash at the very least. Also, pony rides for kids are $5, so you’ll need some green for that, too. And don't forget to pick up a pumpkin; those are 50 cents per pound...

Obviously, the list of things to purchase can go on and on. Do whatever your budget can handle -- just have a great time!
