March 23: Wolf Park Easter Party (link). 1-5 p.m. This Saturday the staff at the park will be hiding eggs, raw and cooked, as well as other wolf-safe treats. The public can watch the fun as the wolves are allowed back into the viewing area to find those goodies. The staff also has fun and games planned for young human visitors. Family friendly event. Fee charged.
Lily Nature Center: Open normal weekend hours (link). Stop in to check out the winged visitors in the wetlands and woods of Celery Bog Nature Area. Check along the trails for wildflowers coming up. Family friendly, free.
Trails update: All trails are open. Caution should be exercised on the Wabash Heritage Trail (link), Burnett Creek section when crossing. A new access to the Wabash Heritage Trail is open at Tapawingo Dr. near State St. This additional section is above the normal flood stage. The section between Tapawingo Park and US231 access is subject to lowland flooding.
