Trails update: Due to lowland flooding, the Wabash Heritage Trail has portions under water. Upland trails at city, state and county parks are open. Non-paved trails are muddy, cliff edge trails, such as those at Clegg’s Gardens, are slippery. The water levels on the canoe trails on the Wildcat Creek are high enough that beginners should postpone trips, or go with experienced canoeists.

Lily Nature Center (link) is open regular hours. This family friendly venue is free. Check out the family fun packs with a self-guided scavenger hunt within the park. Walk the marsh trail to see migrating waterfowl. Keep an eye out for early wildflowers.
