July 27: Hot Summer Nights Car Show, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Market Square. The Lafayette Kroozers will be on hand for this family friendly event. Live music, beer garden, kids activities. July 27: 5-11 p.m. Tippecanoe County Fair. The fair is over, but the Carnival has one last night. Family night rates apply, all rides 1 ticket. Tickets: $1.50 or 16 for $20.
July 27: 11 a.m. – Birds and Blooms Hike. Meet at the main office for this easy hike through the prairie. Butterflies are really active right now. Watch for flying flowers among the wild flowers.
2-4 p.m. - Prophetstown Village. Hike from the farm or the main office to tour the village. DNR staff will answer questions and lead tours of the buildings.
8 p.m. - A Hoot of a Hike. Meet at the campground shower building for this evening stroll. The night birds will be coming out. Learn to tell the owls apart, listen for a nighthawk.
July 28: 8 a.m. – Breakfast with the Birds. Meet at the campground shower building for coffee and snacks before heading out to see what’s flying around. Bring your binoculars (the naturalist will have a few extra). Both woodland and prairie species might be seen.
2 p.m. – Frog Chorus. Meet at the far east parking lot, last lot at the end of the park. Listen to the frogs in the Harrison Creek woods and bottom lands. The symphony of the frog chorus will also include cicadas and songbirds.
Daily: Swim Center, 11 a.m-7 p.m, $3 per person 3 y/o and up.
Programs and the farm museum are included in the gate fee $6 per Indiana car. $8 per out of state car.
