Feb. 25: Wildflowers of the Sierra Nevada, 7 p.m., Lily Nature Center. This INPAWS (link) program is presented by Kevin Tungesvick. Mr. Tungesvick works for the Spence Restoration Nursery at Muncie (link). Spence Nursery specializes in supplying plans and plants for restoration of native plants.
Feb. 27: Wednesdays in the Wild, 1-3 p.m., Lily Nature Center. Spring Creep & Spring Flowers: Effects of Climate Change on Plant Pollination Interactions. Assistant Professor Nancy Emery of the Purdue Dept. of Biology will present this program. She will focus on the impacts of early flowering of local spring wildflowers.
Feb. 27: Tippecanoe County SWCD (link) annual meeting, 5-8 p.m., Wright Forestry Center (link). Reservations are required for this event. There is no cost, but a donation of food to go to a food bank is requested. There will be a silent auction. Mark Booth from Take Flight Education (link) will be on hand with some feathered friends.
