Tippecanoe County Battlefield Museum. This facility is closed until Jan.15. On Jan. 16, through Feb. 28, the museum will be open from noon to 5 p.m. They will close in the case of severe snowstorms, if in doubt, call ahead (link).
5 Points Firehouse Museum. When the new 5 Points firehouse was built, the fire department debated what to do with the old one. The building was the first firehouse built for gas powered fire trucks, not horse drawn units. It is open to the public on Saturday afternoons. Teachers and youth groups can arrange for private tours. Call the city (link) for details.
Art Museum of Lafayette. The Art Museum is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. There is no admission, but contributions are gratefully accepted. Check their website for current exhibits (link).
The Farm at Prophetstown. Winter hours: M-F 8 a.m.-4p.m.,closed weekends. Gift shp is closed. You still purchase eggs and meat, just call ahead (link).
Lane Place: Tues. 1 p.m.-5 p.m., Wed.-Sat. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (link).
