Battlefield Museum is open and sporting winter hours, noon to 5 p.m. Thurs-Tues. Keep in mind, if there are snow advisories in effect, the facility may close. In addition to the normal displays, there is a fine exhibit of firearms on display (link). If you are looking for a unique gift, the gift shop is stocked with books, toys and historical reproductions available for sale.

Wabash and Erie Canal is developing plans to expand while celebrating its 10th season. A fund drive and a volunteer call out are part of that. This Thurs. Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m. there is a volunteer information meeting. There are a variety of jobs for volunteers. The M-W-F group builds, repairs and generally works on new items for the park. Docents conduct tours through the village and act as guides on the boat. Check out the opportunities where you can help (link).
