May 17, 18: Haan Mansion (link) tours. 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., 12$ fee. Once known as the Potter Mansion, the home was imported to Lafayette from the St. Louis World’s Fair. Today it is owned by Ellie and Bob Haan. The Haan’s have an art collection, on display through the historic home.
May 16,17,18: Linden Depot Museum (link) is open for the season. Noon to 5 p.m. New this season, the 2nd building is open to the public. The second building houses a large HO train layout. The building was formerly open only to volunteers building the layout. Fee: 4$ Adults, 1$ children. May 17 from 1-3 p.m. Model train show: all gauges.
May 17-18: Transportation Fair in Delphi (link). Historic means of transportation can be seen throughout the town and Canal Park. Free.
May 17-18: Delphi Canal Park (link). As part of the Transportation Fair, the canal boat “Delphi” opens the season for tours. Noble Bikes at the Canal (link) has bikes and boats for rent to tour the canal and trails.
