The Municipal Pool, AKA Kingston Pool, is on Salisbury St. behind Happy Hollow School (link). Parking is at the tennis courts. An “open” flag is posted at the tennis courts to indicate if the pool is open. Season passes are available at the Parks and Rec. Building at 1101 Kalberer Rd. There are 3 pools on site; a baby pool, toddler pool and Olympic sized pool. The large pool also features a deep end with diving boards. There are 4 sessions daily. Noon to 12:50 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. are for adult lap swim. 1 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Adults (16 and up) $4, kids 3-15 $3.50. Adult lap swim $3.50. Pool opens when air temp is above 68 degrees. Pool closed during storms; no refunds.

The pool is available for rent for private parties.


Although the old Battleground pool is gone, nearby Prophetstown State Park has an aquatic center (link).

There are separate fees for the park and the aquatic center. Gate fee: $6 per Indiana car, $8 per out-of-state car, $2 per bike or pedestrian. Season pass available: $40.00, unlimited visits to any state park in Indiana.

Aquatic Center fee is $3 per person, 3 and under free. There is a pass available for $50., which covers 25 visits at any Indiana state park with an aquatic center. Swim pass purchased in 2014 carries into 2015 if not used up during 2014. Daily hours: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Features include a lazy river, large slide and zero entry to the water area.
