Publish America recently released A H Summers’ first novel, Tip Toe Around the Devil. The book centers on 15-year-old Danny, who spent much of his childhood with his brother in foster homes and lived five years with their evil grandfather before being separated. Danny is reunited with his mother and finds himself coping with her illness and an angry stepfather. Tip Toe Around the Devil is a coming of age story set in early 1980s England, in which a teen must learn to survive on the gritty streets of a new town and soon finds himself spiraling out of control.
Summers, who was born in England and now resides in Baltimore, says the story he tells in Tip Toe Around the Devil has “bothered me for years” and is semi-autobiographical.
