Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins spoke with RTT News on Dec. 31 about her upcoming new reality television show, "Totally T-Boz," and what her fans can expect from the new TLC series.
T-Boz said that the new reality series will not focus on the more dramatic aspects in her life, but instead show the singer as she lives her real everyday life, having fun, and being herself.
Watkins was the singer and songwriter in the very successful girl band TLC. T-Box won four Grammy awards for her work with TLC, but remains better known recently for her battles with sickle-cell anemia.
Watkins also revealed in 2009 that she battled a brain tumor for three years, and doctors feared removing it due to the sickle-cell anemia. She finally had surgery that removed the tumor successfully.
"In my life, God has the last say-so," T-Boz said. "I was the calmest I have ever been in my life that morning. I didn't feel anything, but that was my prayer."
"Totally T-Boz" will focus on her struggles with her health, her continued success and the support team of friends and family that stuck with her through all the difficulties. The show premieres on TLC on Jan. 1 at 8 p.m. EST.
