Indigenous actress and musician, Tinsel Korey, is stepping up to take an active stance for the benefit of Haiti.

On Thursday January 21, 2010, Tinsel Korey (whom you may remember from Twilight: New Moon as “Wolf girl” Emily Young) made the trip to the Aero store at the Westside Pavillion location in Los Angeles to drop off her jeans for the Teens for Jeans organization. Since the Haiti earthquake disaster that hit the nation on January 12, 2010, the global response has been huge for this cause. Compassion and donation efforts have been extended by the Native American community as well. Korey and fellow Twilight actor, Kellan Lutz made their appearance together at the store.

How you can help:

Aero has teamed up with Teens for Jeans to help in its cause for teens in Haiti. Aero will match a donation for the first 100,000 jeans that people donate via their in-store drop off boxes at. That could mean 200,000 jeans will go directly to support homeless teens in Haiti. You can help reach that 100,000 jean goal by donated your gently-worn jeans to any Aeropostale store location from now until February 14, 2010.

  • No tribal affiliation = NOT Native 3 years ago

She's "indigenous", but not with a capital 'I' and only to a place called 'India'.
