Tina Turner is ready to give up her citizenship in the United States to live the rest of her life as a Swiss citizen, reported ABC News on Jan. 25. Turner has been living happily in Zurich with her long-time partner and German music manager, Erwin Bachin.
The 73-year-old resides in a chateau home and couldn't be happier after a successful music career that spanned for over three decades.
The “Proud Mary” star began singing alongside her husband, Ike Turner in the 60s; their marriage ended by mid 70s.
After a much publicized admission of their violent and abusive marriage, the R&B singer branched away during the 70s to perform as a solo artist.
Turner became a worldwide pop star sensation with hit songs, “Private Dancer” and “What’s Love Got to Do With It.”
The pop icon performed numerous times at the Madison Square Garden in New York wearing outfits that showcased her toned legs and spiked hair.
Her famous hair was a hit with New York fans that mimicked her hair style using full cans of hair spray.
