Tina Turner, singer of What’s Love got to do with it and many other great songs is now trying to pursue a Switzerland citizenship. Ms. Turner, who has been residing in a lake house in Kuesnacht, Switzerland with her manager and romantic partner, Erwin Back, says she will gladly give up her U.S Citizenship for a Switzerland one.
Ms. Turner has already passed the civics test and the only thing standing in her way of becoming a Swiss citizen is the interview that needs to be done. Once that is over and she passes it, she will therefore hand over her U.S citizenship for the Swiss one.
Tina Turner was born with the name Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush, Tennessee. The mayor of Brownville, Tennessee, which is close to Nutbush said that the news of Ms. Turner’s plan to become a Swiss citizen has come to her as a surprise. She, the mayor of Brownsville, thinks that anyone who makes this kind of decision makes you take a step back and think what caused the decision.
Ms. Turner’s Switzerland citizenship is not yet official since it does have to be approved by Swiss federal authorities before she can become full citizen.
