Tina Fey drops the ‘F-bomb’ when asked about Taylor Swift controversy (Video)

Tina Fey has apparently had enough of the whole Taylor Swift controversy, and she didn’t stop short of expressing herself on the streets of New York when asked once again about it. Tina was walking down the street when a photographer asked her to comment on the story, to which she replied, “Go f--k yourself”, according to E! News yesterday. Fey, 42, was caught up in the mess due to her and Amy Poehler’s jokes about Taylor Swift’s dating life while hosting the Golden Globes telecast in January.

Taylor Swift, in an interview in the April issue of Vanity Fair, took the opportunity to slam Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s comedy bit at the Golden Globes. Swift suggested there’s a “special place in hell” for women like them, for not supporting other women - meaning herself, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Tina and Amy poked fun at Taylor at the Golden Globes by discussing onstage whether Swift should pursue Michael J. Fox’s 23 year-old son Sam, or take time out from dating for some “me” time.

The comedic banter was funny because Swift was coming off a media storm of coverage for her very public reuniting with then 18 year-old Harry Styles of “One Direction” boy band fame in November. Taylor, who turned 23 in December, called it quits for the second time over New Years.

And Just prior to dating Styles, Taylor was romantically involved with 18 year-old Conor Kennedy, the grandson of Robert F. Kennedy, and a junior in a private high school in western Massachusetts.

Taylor even now admittedly purchased a multi-million dollar mansion adjacent to the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port. The relationship fizzled out in late October, but Swift did manage to make a nearly $1 million profit flipping that house.

Critics suggested if Taylor can make a living off writing songs and exploiting her famous boyfriends and failed relationships, then she should be able to take it too. If you’re going to put it out there in the public arena, it’s fair game after all.

Critics have also questioned the wisdom of Taylor Swift taking on two such seasoned comedians. Their sharps wits and access to millions of viewers thanks to their respective “30 Rock” and “Parks and Recreation” TV shows could come back to haunt the singer.

As for the funny ladies themselves, when asked about Taylor’s comments Tina Fey took a defensive posture telling ET, “If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron. I did not see that one coming. It was a joke, it was a lighthearted joke”.

Amy Poehler jokingly accepted her fate saying, “Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff”.

But enough is enough, we’re sure Tina Fey has more important things to do than keep addressing this one little piece of her comedy repertoire.

Which is why Wednesday in NYC, when the photographer asked once again as she walked away whether she had anything to say on the Taylor Swift comments, Tina turned and smiled and said simply, “Go f--k yourself”.
