According to Deadline Hollywood, everyone’s favorite female comedy power duo are teaming up for a new film. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will star in Universal’s The Nest. Variety relates that the script is from debut screenwriter Paula Pell, whose story is based on thirty- something sisters who return to their childhood home. When the sisters discover that the house is being sold, they decide to spend one last wild weekend there. Pell continues to write for Saturday Night Live, and was an executive producer on Universal’s This is 40. After seeing Mean Girls and Baby Mama, you can imagine the chaos that might ensue in this plot. Fey will produce the film alongside Jay Roach and Poehler will executive produce. Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore is also on board.

What makes Tina and Amy so lovable? From SNL stars to sitcom suitors to authors, mothers, and Golden Globe hosts these women don’t get any closer to feeling like your own personal best friend. Their comedy is real and their chemistry is undeniable. Contracts are still being negotiated for the film at this point, so no word yet as to when production will actually begin.
