Local custom builder Tin Man Fabrication held its Grand Opening on April 19th to show off their new shop, just east of Hwy 65 in East Bethel, MN. Not too far from its original location in Cedar, MN, the new facility offers more work and storage space for its customers and their projects.

We strolled through the new shop space and took in a few of their project cars undergoing various transformations. A lunch of hot dogs, chips and plenty of chocolates were provided to all that came out, a welcome bonus.

Though the weather wasn't perfect and snow was still on the ground, the streets were fairly clear and couple of hot rods made the trek. Good for them, as we need a break from this killer winter that seemingly never wants to end.

Tin Man Fabrication is full service shop specializing in metalwork, late-model engine/trans swaps, to even turbo, supercharger, and fuel injection conversions.

Founded in 2000 by Jim Crews, Tin Man Fabrication also offers a high-quality line of specialty vehicle market products, many sold through Summit Racing Equipment (www.summitracing.com/) and Jegs High Performance (http://www.jegs.com/)

Starting in May and going through September, stop by every second Saturday for coffee and tour the facilities. Ask them about your project(s); perhaps they can help.
