Timeline Studios - The Best in SW Florida Recording, Engineering and Producing (Photos)

I was invited to visit Timeline Studios by Scott and Kimberly Bush, along with Engineer John Gallow and local gems Push laying down some vocal tracks for their latest project. A lovely little studio offering everything required, built within their own home and it truly provides a comfort to the creative process indeed. This was a great project!

Timeline Studio is owned by Scott Bush, who also engineers recordings with John Garrow and Kimberly Bush does a grand job of taking care of the contacts, clients and simple daily business responsibilities of this studio.

"Timeline Studio in Cape Coral, Florida is a full service recording studio. Scott Bush has been playing and creating music since he was 14 with the launching gig being the Pop Warner Home Coming Dance. It took off from there, well, with a little work of course; which Scott is no stranger to at all. He is one of the most focused and diligent workers I know within music around SW Florida and beyond without a doubt. Both the quality of Scott's live performance and studio work will easily exemplify his dedication to get things sounding the exact way they are meant to.

Scott's experience reads like a great ride in the business indeed as he played with a band called Sundogs and they landed an independent record deal where they landed 3 songs in the top 100. Next, he played guitar and lended vocals to a few tracks such as: "Sister" and "Baton Rouge" with a lovely little band called, The Nixons, in the early 1990's era.

It was later, around 2002 when Scott recognized that he wanted to work professionally within the recording and producing realms upon recording for a former local gem of a band named, Dolt. Mr. Bush recorded and mastered the Dolt recordings (as well as played guitar on them) and has been now working as a recording engineer and producer ever since.

Scott and John both remain very crucial and relevant to the SW Florida music scene as well as running this studio. John still runs sound and for local band A200 on live shows and Scott rips guitar, vocals and humor with his local band called Superbot.

John Garrow has been a integral part of the SW Florida sound for the last seven years now, working live sound for bands such as: A200, Cinder, 10,000 Views, Blackfoot, Geek Skwad, and Push. He is known for his talented ear and knob turning at establishments such as: The Buddha, Blue Martini, The Sandy Parrot, Cigar Bar Live, Rips Sports Bar,
and the Lani Kai Beach Resort.

John and Scott's talents first came together five years ago when John was selected to run live sound for Scott's band at the time, Geek Skwad. Scott liked John's live mix so much he wanted to hear what he could do in the studio, and voila!

Mr. Garrow loves music and learning about tones and sounds in order to create them or re-create them. His passion is music and he simply wants to make it sound good, and by George, he does! The energy within production and live music is John's true passion professionally and listening to his studio work after being familiar with what he can produce live only convinvced me that this is the best local combination that any person seeking to record music, voice overs or audio ad content can find.

Timeline Studio is run like a well oiled machine with the best business around backed by some of the sharpest engineer and producer available. A simple mission of simply wanting to be the best studio in SW Florida with putting out only quality work, period. It is running three years strong with only a growing list of satisfied clients, music fans and testimonials; as well as endorsements.

When I asked Scott if he had any advice for anyone possibly considering a career in engineering, mixing or producing music he had this to offer: "You have to totally devote your life to this and to learn how to engineer and mix music you need to learn every aspect of the equipment from the boards to electricity, insturments and frequencies and say goodbye to the sun. You only see the sun when you take a vacation."

John added this as advice to any future mixers out there: "There’s no right way to mix; don’t let anyone tell you how you do it is wrong. And protect your hearing."

The studio was recently voted best recording studio in Southwest Florida by Spot Magazine in 2012, and the voters did get this one correct.
